GARY  BARGER'S  FLYBABY 1A

This classic Flybaby N4640P was built from plans and is constructed primarily of wood.  Power is a Continental 65 hp engine with a wooden two-blade propeller. First flight was in 1984 and the airplane has been flown regularly since that time.

Gary's Flybaby is hangared at the Hendersonville Airport, but is typically flown off of Johnson Field, the adjacent grass strip.  Before purchasing his Flybaby from the builder in Alabama, Gary had begun work on his wood and fabric Pietenpol AirCamper which is currently about 75% complete.  The Pietenpol project will be viewable in the "Projects" pages within a few weeks.

In addition to being a great dad and experienced machinist, Gary is an accomplished musician (guitarist, singer, and songwriter) who has been known to host summer evening mini-concerts in his open-bay hangar for his flying friends.
