Welcome to the Kiffin Y Rockwell Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1016!

The Chapter was founded in January 2003 and has been continuously active since Day 1.  We have about 60 active members and 90 or so in our email group. There are any number of flying experimental and certified airplanes among the members and a number of projects in the making. We try to get around to see each other's work and offer encouragement and advice .. (sometimes mixed with a generous dollop of praise, criticism, or incredulity, i.e. "why would ANYBODY do THAT?")

While the Chapter is chartered in Asheville NC, our members gather on the second Tuesday of each month at the Western North Carolina Air Museum in nearby Hendersonville NC. Regular gatherings are supplemented with informal meet-ups by groups of individuals and, in fact, those keep the ball rolling.
